Part 1: The Creation of our Grand Universe

At the center of the known Cosmos, which encompasses the Great dark Void, is the Infinite Spirit, the Absolute/Prime Source. The Absolute/Infinite Spirit has as His great Cosmic Plan the creation within the Cosmos of a series of Grand Universes of inhabited worlds with Beings endowed with elements of His own nature. His Plan is for all these newly created Souls to undertake an evolutionary path following the rules of His Cosmic Principle of "Love and Cooperation". These extensions of Himself as Soul-endowed Beings are to undertake their own evolutionary learning and experience through participating in the creation of a successive series of new Universes and thereby adding to His own evolutionary experience. Through trial and error, they will evolve through being given a limited "Free Will" to follow their own creative efforts, thereby elaborating and enlarging the Cosmos into a constantly grandeur and more beautiful series of Creations out in the Great Void.

Our own Grand Universe is the latest creation in a series of six Grand Universes already created within the surrounding Great Void of the Cosmos. It is by now a vast area comprising over seven trillion inhabited worlds. The first physical creation to be undertaken under the direction of the Absolute's designated Creators of physical Matter and Energy streams brought over from a previous Creation, was the Central Core of the new Grand Universe known as the "Isle of Paradise". This area is designated as the residence of the ruling Holy Trinity of the Father, Eternal Son and Holy Infinite Spirit/Mother. These are highly evolved Beings who attained the highest degree of perfection in the previous Grand Universe and who volunteered to take on the great honour and responsibility of overseeing and maintaining this latest Grand Universe. The Isle of Paradise is also the residence of a select group of the other most perfected Beings who volunteered to come over from the previous Grand Creation.

The next physical area to be created surrounding the "Paradise Isle" Central Core was a billion inhabited spheres to form the Central Universe, called Havona. The inhabitants of Havona are also made up of the many other volunteer perfected Beings who have come over from the previous Grand Universe. Later on, the Central Universe of Havona was itself to be surrounded by a further Seven "Superuniverses", created in sequence over billions of years. These are populated by a mixture of some of the perfected Havona and Paradise citizens and also a growing number of newly created evolving Ascendant Mortal Souls coming up from the lower "Worlds of Time and Space". These newly created "Ascendant Beings" are following a long evolutionary journey upwards from the animal level with the aim of eventually arriving on the perfected worlds of the Central Universe of Havona, and possibly on to the ultimate perfection of the Isle of Paradise, the Seat of the ruling Holy Trinity.

The ruling Trinity Father of our Grand Universe has undertaken the prime function of endowing every newly created and evolving "Ascendant Being" from the lower worlds with an element of His own "Personality", and thus indirectly, also with the Absolute's Spirit and Nature. Newly created Ascendant Souls, when they reach a suitable level, are thus given an internal spiritual guidance through an endowment of a small element of the Father's own Spirit/Personality. This is effected through assigning an indwelling "Higher Self" or "Thought Adjuster", a fully trained Spiritual Being to overshadow the Ascendant Being with internal guidance expressing the Trinity Father's inherent nature and will.

The Trinity Eternal Son, the second Member of the Holy Trinity, has the task of actually sponsoring the creation of all new Ascendant Souls. The Third Member of the Holy Trinity, the Infinite Spirit/Holy Mother, given the power of being a direct Agent of the Absolute, alone has the ability to endow those new Souls with a nascent "Spiritual" ability. The Infinite Spirit alone also has the ability to endow the power of "Mind" function which allows the newly Ascendant Being to make intellectual choices and decisions on its difficult evolutionary path leading up to becoming a fully developed Consciously Aware Being. In addition, the Infinite Spirit has been given the sole mandate of creating a separate body of Beings under the ultimate control of the Absolute known as the "Angelic Kingdom", who function as the faithful and reliable "Servants of Creation" . They are the largely silent and invisible workers assisting in the background administration of the Grand Universe, as well as providing a supporting role to Ascendant Mortals as their often invisible Guides and Guardians.

The Absolute's main Principle and Spiritual Code of Conduct to be followed by all evolutionary Beings within the Cosmos is to be one of "Love and Service to Others". This requires that every developing Soul should always attempt to express "Unconditional Love" to others and give a helping hand to their lesser endowed brethren to help lift them up to their own evolutionary level. In following this Divine Rule it would enable all to jointly achieve a yet greater and more wonderful shared Creation.

It can be seen that the Absolute Creator's Divine Principle of "Love", which expresses giving assistance and nurture to others is most strongly expressed within the Feminine aspect of the Male/Female polarity duality found throughout Creation. Thus the in-going loving and nurturing Female characteristic, as opposed to the Male outgoing Will forcefulness, most readily expresses the Absolute's way and thinking.

The first physical creation of matter in the newly established Grand Universe was to be the central and core "Isle of Paradise". Unlike all the later created spheres, the core Isle of Paradise was not itself created in a spherical form, but is a vast and essentially flat body in an ellipsoid shape, one-sixth longer in the North-South diameter than in the East-West diameter. The distance from the upper surface to the underside is one tenth of the East-West diameter. The underside of the Paradise Isle is the focal point for the outgoing Cosmic gravity/power originating out in the Great Void from the Absolute. This radiates out as energy and as a gravity force throughout the surrounding Grand Universe. It first passes through the surrounding Central Universe of Havona and then on out to the vast orbiting Seven "Superuniverses" and their "Local Universes" situated within them. This outgoing and returning force functions as the Grand Universe's cohesive and centralizing outpouring of energy/gravity, attracting all the surrounding orbiting spheres in a permanent and binding physical relationship to the Central Core.

The Isle of Paradise itself embraces all the previously defined patterns of perfection, both in its beautiful environment and of its inhabitants who came over from the previous Grand Universe. Thus it is the much sought-after final goal of destiny for all of the Grand Universe's evolving "Ascendant Being" coming up from the lower evolutionary Worlds of Time and Space.

The core Isle of Paradise, home of the Ruling Trinity Father, Son and Infinite Spirit Mother, along with its surrounding billion inhabited spheres of the Central Universe of Havona is populated by many of the most perfected Beings who came over from the preceding Grand Universe. They chose to come to this new area of Creation as a means of further perfecting their existing levels of evolution through learning from the experiences and travails of all the to be newly created Ascendant Souls rising up to the Central Universes. They have also found that acting as "Descending Souls" down to the lower Worlds of Time and Space as teachers and example givers, they can learn even deeper lessons. However, the "Descendant Beings" of Havona and Paradise often have to face a particularly difficult task in these lower worlds. They can often find that they are in a greater risk of being dragged down by these worlds through their many physical temptations, through making bad choices or errors. As a consequence they often have to make enormous efforts to climb back up to the level of their original worlds of perfection.

These Descending "Old Souls" also give issue to their own offspring, many of whom usually choose themselves to embark on a downward journey to the lower worlds of matter in order to make up for their lack of evolutionary experience. Although these younger Souls incorporate an element of their elders' perfection, they lack the soul strengthening experience of life on these lower worlds However, these younger offspring Souls are even more prone to be dragged under and can often find themselves trapped in a series of re-incarnations back into the lower physical worlds over and over again in order to correct the inherent weaknesses within their souls.

One can quickly determine whether a person before one is a "Descendant Being" or an "Ascendant Being". "Descendant Beings" from the Central Universes are recognisable by belonging to the Blue-eyed Races (their colour of eyes, the "Windows of the Soul", range upwards from: dark-blue / blue-grey and light-blue / grey-green to a very light grey), whereas the Brown-eyed Races belong to the evolving "Ascendant Beings" who have started out their Human evolution from at least the animal level (their eye-colour ranges upwards from: black / dark-brown / red-brown and yellow-brown / brown-green to light yellow-green).

Ascendant Beings are greatly assisted in their evolutionary progress upwards, having reached a certain developmental level, by being endowed with an overseeing "Thought Adjuster" or "Higher Self", a high Spiritual Being to act as an "Inner Voice" and personal "Guide". This is effected through an overshadowing Spiritual Being attaching themselves to the Ascending Mortal, one who has had special training on an inner world of Havona on all the aspects of the Trinity Father's own Personality, thinking and Will. Ascending Mortals are also given the protective guardianship of a "Guardian Angel" from the Angelic Kingdom, who also silently attempts to prompt his assigned Mortal from making serious mistakes or to avoid dangerous situations. The Ascending Mortal's "Higher Self" and "Guardian Angel" are assigned to them throughout most of his or her long upwards journey of evolutionary training until they reach the ultimate destination of Havona and the Isle of Paradise.

In addition to the provision of Inner Spiritual Guides, Ascending Mortals will also be given evolutionary training, having already experienced several incarnations on a lower physical world, on the ascending series of "Morontial" worlds - special worlds dedicated to the training of Ascendant Beings. When completed, they may then progress on up to the "Local System Headquarters" and later to the "Constellation Headquarters" Spheres within their Local Universe. Once they graduate as a fully "Spiritualised Being", then the next step is up to the Central Worlds of their Superuniverse in which the Local Universe is situated. Once they have reached the status of a "Perfected Spiritual Being", they can then move onwards to the Central Universe of Havona, and after working through from the outer Spheres to the inner ones, the may eventually qualify for the ultimate journey, to the Isle of Paradise. There they can join one of the "Finaliter Corps" to be ready for further progression and service, either back down to one of the lower Worlds of Time and Space, or at some future time, to a yet to be created new Grand Universe. The Finaliters Corps are also often joined by the existing Residents of Paradise, who gladly welcome the experience of learning from this influx of Ascendant Beings who have risen up on the long journey from the lower worlds. The members of the Finaliters Corps are all to be participants in the Absolute's continuing "Grand Plan" of creating yet more and more perfected Grand Universes out in the Great Void, forever advancing forwards on all the evolutionary progress so far made.

The totality of our Grand Universe is made up of the subsequently developed Seven Superuniverses which orbit around the Central Universe of Havona and the Paradise Isle. They orbit, one behind the other, on the same plane in a great ellipsoid anticlockwise motion around the Central Universe. The last and Seventh Superuniverse to be created is named Orvonton and is made up of a trillion inhabited worlds. This is the Superuniverse in which Planet Earth (originally known as Urantia) is situated. Orvonton has its Administrative Capital on a great "Architectural Sphere" (an artificially constructed hollow sphere) called Uversa, part of a large Sun cluster which functions as the physical and astronomical center of the Seventh Superuniverse. The Superuniverse of Orvonton is itself administratively divided up into ten Major Sectors, each encompassing a hundred billion inhabited Worlds. Within each of these Major Sectors there are a further one hundred Minor Sectors, each composed of a billion worlds.

Each Minor Superuniverse Sector of the Superuniverse is then made up of a hundred "Local Universes". A Local Universe is itself a vast area of up to ten million inhabited worlds. administratively divided up into Constellation and Local System Sectors.

Our own "Local Universe" is named Nebadon, and it has its Administrative Headquarters on a large central artificial sphere called "Salvington". Nebadon's Headquarters World of Salvington is itself situated over two hundred and fifty thousand light-years away from the Headquarters World of Uversa, at the center of the Superuniverse of Orvonton, away in the dense diameter of the Milky Way. Our Universe of Nebadon is relatively young and not yet fully developed, and so it has a total of only 3,840,101 inhabited Planets out of a potential ten million. Nebadon is itself also administratively divided up into a hundred "Constellations", each of about one hundred thousand inhabited Worlds. A Constellation is further divided up administratively into a hundred "Local Systems", each System itself containing about a thousand inhabited Planets.

Our own Planet Urantia/Earth within our Local Universe of Nebadon, is situated in Nebadon's Constellation of Norlatiadek. Norlatiadek also has as its Administrative Headquarters a large and central artificial sphere, named Edentia, of vast and beautiful gardens and green surroundings, from which our Earth's "Garden of Eden" originally derived its name. The Constellation of Norlatiadek is then further divided up administratively into one hundred "Local Systems". Earth's own Local System is named Satania, and is made up of 619 inhabited Worlds. Satania's Administrative Center is on another large Architectural Sphere, a hundred times the size of our own Planet, named "Jerusem", and from which we derive the name "Jerusalem". Satania is therefore our local Administrative Sector for Planet Earth.

Within this "Local System" of Satania is our small and relatively young (over two billion years old!) Planet Earth, originally known as Urantia, situated near the outer edge of the Local Universe of Nebadon. The whole Local Universe of Nebadon is itself situated not far from the end of a spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxy, near to the outer edge of the Orvonton Superuniverse and thus close to the surrounding Great Void of the total Cosmos.

Within our Grand Universe there are over 700,000 Local Universes, also with that same number of Creator Sons as their Rulers. Each of these "Paradise Sons" is given the right by the Trinity Father, when they feel they are fully prepared after a long period of training, to finally create and run their own Local Universe. A "Creator Son", also known as a "Paradise Son", is a first line direct offspring of the Trinity Father, whereas the second line of Paradise Sons, known as an "Avonal/Majesterial Son", is an offspring of the Trinity Eternal Son.

Our own Local Universe of Nebadon has as its Sovereign Ruler a Creator Son by the name of Michael of Nebadon. He is better known to us as Christ Michael, through his having had his Seventh and final "Bestowal" incarnation on one of his lowliest inhabited Planets, Urantia/Earth. He embarked on this final Bestowal incarnation in a joint incarnation with Jesus (Esu/Immanuel/Sananda) of Palestine two thousand years ago, whom he overshadowed during the incarnation. This exercise was so that he could finally earn the right to be recognized by his Trinity Father as a fully entitled "Sovereign of Nebadon" after serving a probationary period as a Regent on behalf of his Trinity Father. This final right is only bestowed on a Creator Son by the Trinity Father after he has undertaken seven incarnations on the lower worlds of descending order in his Local Universe. This will then qualify him as a fully entitled Sovereign to make all his own decisions for his Local Universe without consulting the Paradise Father. He has earned this position through having fully experienced all of the variety of life on descending levels of worlds within his Local Universe.

When the Trinity Father first authorizes the physical creation of a new Local Universe for one of his Creator Sons, he enjoins the Paradise Master Force Organizers, Cosmic physical creation Agents of the Absolute, to manipulate energy-matter to a certain stage of physical solidity. Once the Central Administrative Sphere is physically created, the chosen Paradise Creator Son appears upon the scene, always accompanied by his Creative Partner/Consort, a Daughter of the Trinity Infinite Spirit and thus also representing the Absolute Prime Creator.

Thus from the energies of space originating from the Absolute, organized into habitable spheres of physical matter, Creator Son Michael of Nebadon, with the co-participation of his Infinite Spirit Consort/Partner, named Nebadonia, was allowed to create a diverse line of evolving Ascendant Beings derived from the lowest animal soul levels. His Consort/Partner, Nebadonia, functioning within Nebadon as its resident Holy Mother/Infinite Spirit, has been given the sole ability accorded by the Absolute to endow the vital "Spark of Life" and the vital Mind function to newly created Ascendant Beings. The first Being they were to create was the "Bright and Morning Star", Gabriel, to become the administrative Chief Executive of Nebadon and who also happens to be the Father of Immanuel/Jesus/Sananda of Palestine fame.

The first act of physical creation in the new Local Universe of Nebadon was the organization of the Headquarters World, a vast artificially constructed "architectural sphere" named "Salvington", along with its surrounding satellite spheres. From the time of the initial physical creation by the Physical Power Controllers to the arrival of the living Staff on the completed spheres of Salvington there intervened a little over one billion years of present Earth time. The construction of Salvington was immediately followed by the creation of the one hundred Headquarters of the projected Constellations and then the further hundred Headquarters Spheres of the "Local Systems" within the Constellation, each System having local control over up to a thousand inhabited planets.

The Local Universe of Nebadon is itself a relatively young cluster of starry and planetary realms within the Orvonton Superuniverse. As a result, it has had its fair share of disruptions due to the unfortunate arrival of an insidious force of evil which infected some of the outer portions of the Seventh Superuniverse of Orvonton. This has led to within our Local Universe of Nebadon of at least three Rebellions against the ruling Hierarchy; the Lucifer Rebellion being the last and most serious one.

Over two hundred thousand years ago, Lucifer, who was the Ruler of our Local System of Satania which administers Planet Earth, decided after five hundred thousand years of his reign to try and break away from the overall administration of the Grand Universe Hierarchy and to assert independence for the System of Satania. One of his reasons given was that he did not agree with the overall Grand Universe Hierachial plan to concentrate so much time and effort on creating evolving Beings simply to follow a long evolutionary path up to a mythical Paradise Isle at the expense of local development. With his First Assistant, Satan, he persuaded 37 other Planetary Princes out of the 619 inhabited Local System Planets to break away from rule of the Hierarchy of the Grand Universe. This included the Planetary Prince of Urantia/Earth at that time, Caligastia.

The "Lucifer Rebellion", although relatively short-lived, caused the entire Local System of Satania to be initially isolated by a mandate of the Orvonton Superuniverse Hierarchy on the Uversa Headquarters. All communication channels within the Local Universe of Nebadon to Satania were cut. This was done in order to isolate Lucifer and his supporters. Since the Creator Son Michael had not yet achieved the full "Sovereignty" of Nebadon, he was not n a position to arrest the Rebellious Leaders and had to leave this to the adjudication of the "High Ones" of the Uversa Headquarters of the Seventh Superuniverse, Orvonton. However, they in their wisdom decided to accord Lucifer and Satan a long period of over two hundred thousand years to fully realize the error of their actions, and repent. This unfortunately left the 37 "Rebellious Worlds", including Planet Earth, under a limited Galactic "quarantine" for that period. It was not until our local time-year of 1985 that Lucifer and Satan were finally adjudicated against by the High Ones of Uversa, and sentenced to permanent Soul extinction, following their complete refusal to accept any mitigating mercy.

This situation partially arose and was further complicated by the considerable amount of negative "darkness" introduced to some of the outer Local Universes of Orvonton through the infiltration 1.3 billion years ago by a very powerful outside evil source of darkness. This came in from an earlier Grand Creation out in the Great Void which had become totally corrupt under its somewhat deranged Leader. The infiltrating Dark Forces had not only managed with their insidious wiles to corrupt some of the Highest Beings in the outer Local Universes, but created over a period of a billion years some of their own Dark Worlds within the Galaxy. They were even to create some new Races under their dark domination. This has led to many devastating Galactic Wars between the "Forces of Light" (the Galactic Federation of Light), and the "Forces of Darkness" (the Anchara Alliance). The Paradise Trinity Father of our Grand Universe appears to have decided to let this "darkness" run its course as a powerful evolutionary learning tool within the Absolute's endowment of "Free Will" to all evolutionary Beings. Only now, at this end of a major Universal Age, has He at last been able to push through a total cleansing of this infection of darkness. [more about this in Chapter 10 of Book I, "The New Earth"].

Part 2: The Creation of Planet Earth/Urantia

Our own Planet Earth, or Urantia as it was originally known, began its existence two billion years ago. It began with our Solar Sun being spun off from the Andronover Nebula over six billion years ago, along with one million other Suns at the time. Half a billion years later, our Sun was itself approached by the enormous Angona System with its "Dark Giant" at its center. This dark giant was a solid, highly charged sphere possessing a tremendous pull of gravity. A great column of our Sun's solar gases was through this powerful pull of gravity detached and separated out into forming the twelve Planets of our Solar System. By two and a half billion years ago, Urantia/Earth was already a well-developed sphere, about the tenth of its present mass, but growing rapidly by meteoric accretion.

The Earth started out as a veritable fiery inferno, rent with volcanic action. Eventually the atmosphere became more settled and cooled sufficiently to start precipitation of rain on the hot rocky surface of the Planet. For thousands of years Earth was enveloped in one vast and continuous blanket of steam. This was followed by the cooling of the Earth's crust sufficiently to cause the forming of the first ocean, which was eventually to cover the entire Planet to an average depth of five thousand feet. Later on, dense lava flows came out upon the bottom of the present Pacific Ocean and the first continental mass emerged from the ocean. This caused a compensatory adjustment to the equilibrium of the gradually thickening Earth's crust under the ocean derived from the constant bombardment and accretion of meteorites.

By nine hundred and fifty million years ago there had developed one great single continent of land with one large body of water, the Pacific Ocean. The first scouting party from the Local System of Satania arrived nine hundred million years ago and after an assessment announced that the "Life Carriers", experts in the development of all life forms, could now be granted permission to develop new patterns of mechanical, chemical and electrical mobilization as well as life transplantation from other worlds. Urantia/Earth, had been declared to be a one-in-ten "Decimal" experimental world, one of sixty-one other "life-modification" Planets within the Local System of Satania. Here the Life Carriers would be allowed to create some new experimental life forms and fauna as their sixtieth Satania experiment designed to amplify and improve Santania's type of Nebadon life patterns.

The rising continental land mass of this era out of the ocean soon increased until it covered almost ten per cent of the Earth's surface. Severe earthquakes began only after the continental mass of land had emerged well above the water. Once the earthquakes began, they increased in frequency and severity for long ages. Eventually they were to gradually diminish over a period of millions of years, though even today Earth still has an average of about fifteen daily.

Seven hundred and fifty million years ago the first breaks in the continental land mass began as a great North-and-South split, which later admitted the ocean waters and prepared the way for the Westward drift of the continents of North and South America, including Greenland. The long East-and-West cleavage separated Africa from Europe and severed the land masses of Australia, the Pacific continent that was to become Lemuria, and Antarctica, separating from the Asiatic continent. By seven hundred million years ago, Urantia/Earth was approaching a ripening of conditions suitable for the support of living life.

Five hundred million years ago the Life Carriers began planting primitive marine vegetable life, some of which was to metamorphose into animal life fifty million years later. They used a process of introducing existing forms of life from other developed worlds, and then modifying them either to suit this Planet's own conditions or as part of an ongoing experiment in developing new forms of life for one of this Local System's 61 "decimal" experimental worlds.

By four hundred million years ago, marine life, both vegetable and animal was fairly well distributed over the whole world as the climate grew slightly warmer and became more equable. Fish were developed two hundred and fifty million years ago, some of the teeth-bearing varieties being twenty-five to thirty feet long, ancestors of the present-day sharks. Reptiles were introduced one hundred and forty million years ago in the form of crocodiles, scaled reptiles and eventually both sea-serpents and flying reptiles. Reptilian dinosaurs were soon developed and became the "Monarchs" of this Age. As egg-layers and were distinguished from the other animals by their small brains weighing less than one pound and which then had to control bodies weighing up to as much as forty tons.

The first mammals appeared in North America fifty million years ago. A small reptilian, egg-laying type of mammal was soon flourishing, and the ancestors of the later kangaroos began to roam Australia. Soon there were also small horses, fleet-footed rhinoceroses, tapirs with proboscises, primitive pigs, squirrels, lemurs, opossums, and several tribes of monkey-like animals. By thirty-five million years ago many of the more primitive mammals had become extinct, and the mammals of large size and small brain such as the dinosaur family were by then in decline. The land mammals slowly assumed domination of the Earth, completely destroying the remainder of their reptilian ancestors.

An Inhabited World

A momentous event occurred one million years ago, when Urantia/Earth was first registered by the Constellation Fathers as a world inhabited by reasoning Human Beings. A mutation within the stock of the progressing Primates, small lemur types who walked mostly on their hind legs and possessed large brains in proportion to their size, led to the development of primitive semi-animal tribes who lived in the treetops for safety at night. These were the ancestors of Earth's indigenous Mankind. This momentous event was sparked by a rapid development towards Human qualities by two members of a primitive tribe, a brother and sister, on the Mesopotamian or Persian peninsula at the beginning of the third Glacial Ice Age.

Andon and his sister Fonta were born to parents little different from the average of a tree-top animal tribe who had already begun to learn how to make sharp tools of stone, flint and bone, and to use clubs in fighting. This they indulged in frequently, almost wiping out the various other tribes with any likely Human developmental potential. This Brother and Sister was to exhibit a considerably higher level of intelligence, no doubt brought over in an incarnation from a more evolved extraterrestrial world. At a very early age they had not only learnt to communicate with each other verbally but had worked out an improved sign and word language of almost half a hundred ideas. However, hard as they tried, they were unable to teach more than a few of their new signs and symbols to their parents.

When of about nine years of age, they journeyed off down the river together one bright day and held a momentous conference between themselves. This noontime tryst was being observed through psychic facilities by every Celestial Intelligence stationed on Urantia, including the Senior Life Carrier. On this eventful day the brother and sister made a pact to live apart from their tribe and exclusively with and for each other. This was the first of a series of such agreements between them which finally culminated in their decision to flee five years later from their inferior animal associates, whom they feared might try to kill them through jealousy of their higher abilities. They journeyed North to a new area well away from their tribe, little knowing that they were about to found Earth's first indigenous truly Human Race.

Andon and Fonta had nineteen children in all, thus establishing the genes and attributes of the first true Human Race, the Andonites. They lived to have almost a hundred grandchildren and half a dozen grandchildren. The family was domiciled in four adjoining rock shelters, or semi-caves, three of which were interconnected by hallways which had been excavated in the soft limestone with flint tools devised by Andon's children.

As time passed, the Andonic Clans grew in number, always avoiding mixing with their inferior animal-like cousins, the Simian tribes, which later split off to develop into a non-Human line of apelike monkeys, baboons, chimpanzees and gorillas. Eventually, through various unfortunate tribal conflicts amongst themselves, the Andonites were forced to disperse into a wider area. The geography of nine hundred and fifty thousand years ago prevented them from penetrating very far into Asia or Africa, but pointed them to journey farther and farther North, until they were stopped by the slowly advancing ice of the Third Glacier Ice Age. Before this extensive ice-sheet reached the southern area of what is now France and the British Isles, the descendants of Andon and Fonta had pushed on westward over present day Europe and had established more than one thousand separate settlements along the great rivers leading to the then warm waters of the North Sea.

Eight hundred thousand years ago, after much tribal fighting and the eventual decline of the Andonites, the associated tribe of Badonan, led by a great-great-grandson of Andon, and living in the foothills of the Northwestern Highlands of the Indian Subcontinent, started to gain ascendancy. This Badonan tribe, rapidly becoming superior, began a warfare of extermination directed against their inferior and animalistic neighbours. In less than one thousand years most of theses animalistic groups had either been destroyed or driven back to the southern forests. The mixed descendants of the improved Badonite stock now appeared on the stage of Earth's Human evolution as a new people – the Neanderthal Race.

The Neanderthalers

The Neanderthalers were great hunters during their existence between eight and five hundred thousand years ago, since wild game was abundant with many species of deer, elephants and hippopotamuses roaming over the European continent. Cattle were plentiful; horses and wolves were everywhere. Their relatively crude culture made up of hunting and fighting, gradually spread and lasted for almost a quarter of a million years.

During these spiritually "Dark Ages" the culture of superstitious Mankind reached its lowest levels. The Neaderthalers really had no religion beyond superstition, in which an over-riding fear of the natural forces of Nature had gradually developed. This lead to attempts to placate the invisible forces of the natural elements through the sacrificing of Humans. They were afraid of clouds, more especially of mists and fogs and they also lived in fear of the dark and had a dread of nightfall. As long as the Moon shone, even a little, they managed to get along, but when the Moon became dark they grew panicky and began the sacrifice some of their best specimens of manhood and womanhood in an effort to induce the Moon to shine once again. This terrible practice of Human and animal sacrifice, which has been perpetuated by the more backward peoples of Earth even down to the present day, had the effect over time of decimating all of their finest and most intelligent members of the Race, leading to its ultimate final decline.

New Races Introduced

As the various indigenous tribes of Earth fiercely fought each other and almost wiped themselves out around five hundred thousand years ago, the Life Carriers introduced the final development of Humans, based on the six different coloured Races of more advanced potential already developed on other worlds. These were to be known on Earth as the Sangik Races and were the Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue/White and the Indigo/Black Races. The Red Race was eventually to settle exclusively in North America, the Yellow Race in Asia, the Black Races in Africa ,and the Green and Blue/White in Europe, later known as the Caucasian Races.

It was the general Hierarchial Plan in the development of a normal evolutionary World to install a "Planetary Prince" Ruler at the appearance of the first consciously aware Human Beings. This was a time for the Life Carriers, who had been responsible for the development all the various life forms, to then depart. The purpose of a Planetary Prince assigned by the Local System Headquarters would normally be to further advance the development of the social, economic and cultural lifestyles of the new Races. However, since Earth was one of the 61 Decimal (one-in-ten) Experimental Worlds within the local System of Satania and in which the Life Carriers had experienced some developmental difficulties, this was delayed until the Six Coloured Races were finally installed five hundred thousand years ago. Two of the most senior Life Carriers involved in the development of Earth's life-forms elected to remain permanently with Planet Earth as Advisers, and have nobly done so right up to the present time.

The high personage chosen to be the first Planetary Prince of Urantia/Earth, was Caligastia, who up to that time had been attached to the Council of the Life Carrier Advisers at the Headquarters Sphere of the Local System of Satania on Jerusem. Lucifer had by then been appointed as the Local System Sovereign of Satania, and he was soon to elevate Caligastia to a position on his personal staff, where he was to acceptably fill five successive assignments of honour and trust. Caligastia himself very early on tried to seek a commission as a Planetary Prince, asking to be awarded a "Decimal" experimental life-modification World, but his petitions were turned down several times by the Constellation Fathers. Eventually he was assigned to Urantia/Earth. He had up to that point demonstrated an enviable record of devotion to the welfare of the Local Universe, notwithstanding a certain characteristic restlessness coupled with a tendency to disagree with the established Hierarchial Order on minor matters.

Caligastia, as the newly appointed Planetary Prince arrived five hundred thousand years ago from Jerusem with his 100 Senior Assistants at the newly established Headquarters in the Persian Gulf region, in an area corresponding to later Mesopotamia. At that time there were over 500 million relatively primitive Human Beings well scattered throughout Europe, Asia and Africa. The nucleus of the Prince's Headquarters settlement was to be the newly built and simple City of Dalamatia, initially of 6,000 inhabitants. It was built mainly of one-story buildings enclosed within a surrounding protective wall of over forty feet in height. From this base he established ten specialized educational and training groups who then brought in all the most intelligent members of the various semi-civilised tribes surrounding that area for training and instruction. These various developmental Councils taught the primitive tribesmen such things as well-digging, water-springs control, irrigation, improved methods of treating skins for use as clothing, and later to introduce to them the weaving of cloth. Great advances were made with them, particularly in methods of food storage. Food was now to be preserved by cooking, drying and smoking, and it thus became Man's earliest valuable property, providing for the periods of famine which periodically decimated those early times.

For almost three hundred thousand years Prince Caligastia advanced the planetary civilization in a slow and well planned manner. That is, until the "Lucifer Rebellion" reached Earth's shores.

The Lucifer Rebellion

Lucifer as Sovereign of the Local System of Satania had by then reigned for more than five hundred thousand years as the Chief Executive of a System of 607 inhabited Worlds. He was generally considered a magnificent and brilliant personality and he stood in line for promotion to becoming one of the Constellation Fathers in the Local Universe of Nebadon. But during the last 100 years of his reign, Lucifer increasingly questioned the entire Hierarchical set up of the whole Grand Universe Administration. He eventually produced a "Declaration of Liberty" Manifesto, in which he charged that the Paradise Trinity Father did not really exist and was a myth invented by the Paradise Creator Sons to enable them to maintain their rule of the Local Universes in a so-called Father's name. He contended that the Local Universe Systems should be autonomous and protested that the Creator Son Michael should not have the right to assume full Sovereignty of Nebadon after he was to complete his final Seventh Bestowal life on one of his planets. He also objected to the amount of time and resources used in the vast programme of training billions of "Ascendant Mortals" on the numerous Mansion Worlds for a "mythical" Ascension purpose up to the Central Universes, all to the detriment of Local Universe development.

Lucifer first announced his plans to Satan, his First Administrative Assistant, but it required several months to win over this able and brilliant Associate. However, when once converted to the rebel theories, he himself became a bold and earnest advocate of "self-assertion and liberty". The Head Chief of the Seraphic Hosts (the Angelic Orders) responsible for the day-to-day administration also himself joined the Lucifer cause, even though his Second in Command, Manotia, remained loyal to the Grand Universe Hierarchical Administration. The defection of the Head Administrator of what in our terms would be our Government's "Civil Servants", influenced a large number of the Local System Administrative Seraphim to follow in joining the Rebellion. According to a then highly placed observer, "The Seraphic Leader was spiritually blinded by the brilliant personality of Lucifer and that his charming ways had fascinated the Lower Orders of the Celestial Seraphim: they simply could not comprehend that it was possible for such a dazzling personality to go wrong".

Upon this outbreak of the Satania "Rebellion", Creator Son Michael of Nebadon took counsel of the Ambassador representing the Isle of Paradise ruling Trinity to the Local Universe of Nebadon, based on the Nebadon Headquarters Sphere of Salvington. Following this momentous conference, Michael of Nebadon announced that he would pursue the same policy which had characterized his dealings with two previous and similar upheavals in the past, an attitude of non-interference, allowing also for the fact that it would probably die-out through lack of continued support. In fact, the main force of the Rebellion was to die out within a couple of years, although Lucifer, by then deprived of any power authority, did not entirely give up his efforts, with the help of Satan, for a further two hundred thousand years.

At the time of this Rebellion and during the preceding two earlier ones in other parts of Nebadon, there was not as yet an absolute "Sovereign" in the Local Universe of Nebadon. The Creator Son Michael ruled only by "Divine Right", as a Vice-Regent of the Trinity Father, but not yet in his own right, having not completed his final Seventh Bestowal career on an inhabited Planet of his choice (which he was finally to do on Planet Earth). Since Michael did not at that time have the full power and authority to deal promptly with the Rebellion, he was not in a position to prevent the rebel forces of Lucifer running a limited course. He was also subject to a final adjudication on the Rebellion by the Seventh Superuniverse Rulers on the Headquarters World of Uversa. Although Lucifer and his followers were immediately stripped of any authority, they were not prevented from living lives of a fairly limited freedom and they were able at times to incite further trouble, particularly on the fractious Planet Earth.

The Lucifer Rebellion was to fully involve only thirty-seven inhabited Planets out of the 607 within the Local System of Satania. But this was deemed to be a possible threat to the three million or so other inhabited Worlds within the Local Universe of Nebadon. Upon the outbreak of the insurrection the entire Local System of Satania was isolated for a limited period from all the Constellation and the Local Universe broadcast and information circuits, as well as from direct communications with the Superuniverse of Orvonton. These communication circuits, soon restored to most of the Local System of Satania, were more permanently cut off on the 37 Rebellious Worlds. This was done to ensure that Lucifer would not be able to use this avenue for the furtherance of any future schemes. This isolation was to be enforced as long as the Arch-rebel Lucifer existed within the confines of Satania, even though by then most of his controlling power had been taken from him. The 37 Planets, including Earth, who succumbed to the Rebellion have thus been kept in isolation/quarantine on the orders of the controlling Orvonton Superuniverse Administration for nearly two hundred thousand years. A final adjudication was recently made by the "Most Highs" of Uversa in 1985, when Lucifer and Satan, after having both refused to climb down and accept clemency, had the elements of their Souls irrevocably dispersed to the general pool of soul material available for new use in any future Creation.

At the time of the outbreak of the Rebellion, an emergency Council of Nebadon High Administrative Fathers, who had had personal experience with similar situations, was immediately organized on the Local System Headquarters of Jerusem. They advised Gabriel, the Chief Administrative Executive of Nebadon, that at least three times the number of Beings could be led astray if arbitrary or summary methods of suppression were attempted. Also the High Fathers of the Orvonton Superuniverse Headquarters on Uversa, to which our Local Universe of Nebadon must ultimately defer, concurred in advising Gabriel to permit the Rebellion to take its full and natural course, even if it should require a million years to wind up the consequences.

Satan, Lucifer's First Assistant and close collaborator, had already visited Planet Urantia/Earth on a tour of inspection before the Rebellion was started, and at that time informed Earth's Planetary Prince, Caligastia, of Lucifer's proposed "Declaration of Liberty". He quickly won him over to embracing the Delaration of Liberty and the possibility of joining the rebellion. Later, Caligastia was to hold a prolonged meeting with his First Associate, Daligastia, and quickly won him over. They then jointly called the Ten Councils of Urantia in a Session Extraordinary. The Assembly was opened with the statement that Prince Caligastia was about to proclaim himself absolute Sovereign of Urantia instead of just being a Planetary Prince appointed by the Constellation Fathers. He demanded that all administrative groups abdicate by resigning all of their functions and powers into his hands as Trustee, pending the reorganization of the Planetary Government. Sixty per cent of the Administrative personnel agreed to comply. The other forty per cent, through their newly appointed Chairman, Van, instead made a direct appeal against this to the Local System of Satania Headquarters at Jerusem. However, since Lucifer was the Local System Sovereign, they obviously quickly received orders back confirming Caligastia as the new Supreme Sovereign of Urantia and commanding absolute and unquestioning allegiance to his mandates. The break away loyalist group to the Nebadon Hierarchy led by Van therefore decided to flee the Capital city of Dalamatia, to dwell in isolation in an un-walled and poorly protected settlement surrounded by marauding tribes a short distance East of Dalamatia.

The ultimate effect of the Rebellion on Earth was that many of its skilled administrative civil servants and instructors were split and dispersed, causing a major setback in the evolutionary progress of the indigenous tribes and any real progress in developing a higher civilisation on Earth. For over fifty years great administrative confusion reigned in Dalamatia and its surroundings. It was not long before the entire remaining Staff loyal to Caligastia were engaged in an energetic defense of their City against the hordes of semi-savages who were to besiege its walls. This came as a result of the Doctrines of Liberty which had been prematurely spread amongst them by Caligastia. His grand scheme for the immediate reconstruction of Human society in accordance with his new ideas for individual freedom and group liberties proved to be a swift failure. The surrounding relatively primitive tribal society rapidly sank back to its old levels.

One hundred and sixty-two years after the Rebellion, a tidal wave was to sweep up over the City of Dalamatia, by which time it had been invaded by tribal renegades who soon converted the central Temple to the Trinity Father into a shrine dedicated to Nog, their God of Light and Fire.

Ten thousand years later, practically all of the physical and spiritual gains of Prince Caligastia's original Administration had been effaced. Though the Planet was peopled by Races that were biologically and physically fit, many of the tribes languished in the depths of savagery and moral stagnation. Only among the more advanced Nodite and the Amadonite Tribes, both originally associated with the City of Dalamatia, but who had opposed each other in the Rebellion, was there a remanent of some of the old civilising culture of Dalamatia. However, a persistent traditional enmity carried on between these two Tribes. This feud was constantly rising to the surface whenever the descendants of these two tribal groups ever tried to engage in some common constructive enterprise.

Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden

There then came a time in the Planet's evolutionary development almost forty thousand years ago, when the Life Carriers on duty responsible for its biologic and Human development took note that, from a purely biological standpoint, the developmental progress of the Urantia Races was nearing its apex. They made a petition to the Most Highs of our local Norlatiadek Constellation Headquarters on Edentia that Urantia should be inspected with a view to authorizing the next stage in a young planet's evolution. This stage in the development of a young planet requires the installment of two "Adamic" biologic uplifters in the form of a traditionally termed "Adam and Eve", that is two highly evolved Ascendant Mortal Beings - a "Material Son and Daughter of the Local System". This is the normal process for a young Planet to further advance the genetic quality of the indigenous Races. However, the chosen "Adam and Eve" genetic upgraders are never allowed to mate themselves with the indigenous inhabitants, as they must retain intact their pure genetic characteristics brought over from their higher world. Only their own Earth offspring would be allowed to procreate with some of the carefully selected indigenous Mortals in order to upgrade the World population's genes and racial characteristics.

A planetary inspection was duly made by the Constellation Fathers of Norlatiadek who arrived from Edentia, the Constellation Capital. Following this the new Adamic genetic upgrading step for Urantia/Earth was duly approved by them. They then made a selection of two suitable volunteer "Adamic" Rulers for Earth from the residents of Jerusem, the Local System Capital of Satania, who would then be accorded the traditional planetary title/name of Adam and Eve.

The next stage was to build a "Garden of Eden" on Urantia/Earth, to be somewhat based on the beautiful semi-tropical gardens of Edentia. This area was to function as an Administrative Headquarters for the new Adam and Eve. Van and Amadon, Leaders of the Amadonite Race who had remained loyal after the Rebellion were asked to come down from their highland Headquarters and recruit from sixty-one scattered settlements, a Corps of over three thousand willing and enthusiastic workers to build the new "Garden of Eden". From a possible choice of three selected sites, one that was chosen was on a long peninsula – almost an island – projecting Westward from the Eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea and with a good warm climate.

The neck of the Edenic peninsula was over 37 miles wide and at the center was first built an exquisite stone Temple to the Trinity Father of the Grand Universe. Right in the the center of the Temple was planted "the Tree of Life" brought over from the Constellation of Norlatiadek's Headquarters Sphere, Edentia and whose fruit had the properties of prolonging the life span almost indefinitely of the Adamic Beings originating from Satania's Headquarters World of Jerusem. The Garden of Eden's Administative Headquarters were established in the Northern part of the peninsula and the homes for the workers and their families in the South. The plans laid for the Garden of Eden provided for enough homes and abundant land in a beautifully semi-tropical garden landscape to allow for an eventual total of one million inhabitants.

By the time Adam and Eve arrived from the Local System of Satania's Headquarters Sphere of Jerusem over thirty-seven thousand years ago, the Garden of Eden was already one quarter finished, with thousands of miles of irrigation ditches and more than twelve thousand miles of paved paths and roads. There were eventually to be over five-thousand brick dwellings in the various sectors, each locality allowing for only a maximum cluster of seven in one area. They were all to be surrounded by great numbers of trees and plants and within the most beautiful garden landscaping possible.

However, after their arrival and formal installation as the new Rulers of Urantia/Earth, Adam and Eve soon became very aware of the Planet's isolation from contact with other worlds as a result of the Lucifer Rebellion. Silent were the familiar Galactic Broadcasts, and absent were all the circuits of extraplanetary communication. Their second day on Earth was spent in session with the "Planetary Receivers", the Melchizedeks and their Advisory Council, who had been appointed provisional Custodians of the Planet. From them they learned more details of the effects of the Caligastia Rebellion on Earth, of the upheaval it had upon the Planet's forward evolutionary progress and also of the utter collapse of Caligastia's attempted scheme for accelerating the process of social evolution. As a result of this long and disheartening story, they saw the impracticality of Caligastia's attempt to achieve a young planet's evolutionary advancement by breaking away from the overall Grand Universe Hierarchical Administration and all the valuable experience and assistance they could bring to bear.

Nonetheless, all went reasonably well for a time on Urantia/Earth under the new Adamic Administration. It even appeared that Adam might gradually be able to develop a successful plan for the gradual extension of the new Edenic civilization to out amongst the surrounding primitive tribes. Adam and Eve had in fact been given a long training period on Jerusem on all the techniques of improving a young World's readiness to accept a step-up in evolutionary civilization. Now they had to face up to the pressing problems of establishing a rule of Law and Order in the surrounding world of savages, barbarians, and semi-civilized Human Beings. Unfortunately, apart from the cream of the Earth's population assembled in the Garden of Eden, only a few tribal groups here and there were at all ready for the reception of the new Adamic culture. Tribal development had been badly set back by the administrative disruption following the earlier Lucifer Rebellion.

Adam made a heroic and determined effort to institute Representative Government in place of a Monarchial one, but he met with stubborn resistance at every turn and eventually had to abandon all efforts to do so. He had already put in operation a system of group control throughout the Garden of Eden itself and had federated all of these groups into the "Edenic League". He also did succeed in establishing almost one hundred outlying Trade and Social Centers where selected individuals of a strong ability ruled in his name.

But serious trouble always ensued when he went outside the Garden of Eden and sought to apply these ideas to the more distant outlying tribes. The moment Adam's associates began to work outside the Edenic area, they met a direct and well-planned resistance of Caligastia and Daligastia. Although the fallen Prince had been deposed by the Constellation Fathers as Earth's ruling Sovereign, he had not been physically removed from the Planet, and in fact was not done so until the time of Christ Michael's Bestowal life on Earth two thousand years ago. He was still able to some extent to encourage many primitive tribes to resist all of Adam's plans for the rehabilitation and upgrading of Earth's society. There were still many who leaned towards the Caligastia teachings of unbridled personal liberty and unacceptability of the outside authority of the Nebadon Administration.

Caligastia however was allowed to pay frequent visits to the Garden of Eden in order to try and settle the differences between his leadership of the outlying tribes and the Adamic Administration. Although he held many conferences with Adam and Eve, Adam was always adamant against any of his insidious suggestions of compromise and other short-cut adventures. But the fallen Prince Caligastia was wily, persistent and determined. He soon gave up trying to work directly on Adam and decided to try a subtle flank attack on Eve. He laid plans for entrapping Eve into committing a serious error over the "Adamic Pledge" made by Adam and Eve to the Celestial Heirarchy never to themselves procreate with any of Earth's indigenous Mortals.

Adam and Eve had just finished their first one-hundred years on Earth, having produced sixty-three of their own children along with 1,647 grandchildren as their pure-line descendants. It was at this time that Caligastia decided to set in motion a wily plot to undermine Adam's rule. It should be realised that Caligastia, having originated from a superior non-mortal Race on Satania's Jerusem, still had considerable powers to mentally influence the thoughts and actions of mere Earth Mortals, even the more advanced and progressive ones. It was at this time that a senior Tribal Leader named Serapatatia had just come into the leadership of the Western or Syrian confederation of the Nodite tribes upon the death of his Father. Serapatatia who stood out as an unusually intelligent and advanced Human Mortal, had already made several visits to the Garden of Eden and had become deeply impressed with the righteousness of Adams's leadership and rule. Therefore, shortly after assuming the Leadership of the Syrian Nodites, he announced his intention of establishing an affiliation with the work of Adam and Eve in developing and upgrading tribal administration. He skillfully put it to the Nodite Tribal Confederation that it was going to be to their greater benefit and the Nodite Tribe readily agreed to join him in this.

It was shortly after this tribal acceptance that Serepatatia and some of his new Staff were gratefully invited and entertained by Adam and Eve in their own home in Eden. Serapatatia thereafter became one of the most able and efficient of all Adam's Lieutenants. He was entirely honest and thoroughly sincere in all of his activities. He was never conscious, even to the end, that he was to be used as a circumstantial tool against Adam and Eve in a clever plot set in motion through concealed mental suggestion by the wily Caligastia.

The "Fall" of Eve

Soon Serapatatia was appointed Associate Chairman of the Edenic Commission on Tribal Relations, and many plans were laid for the more vigorous prosecution of the work of winning the remote Tribes to the Adamic cause. He thus held frequent conferences with Adam and Eve – especially with Eve – and one day, during a talk with Eve, a mental suggestion came to Serapatatia that if the Nodites, as the most progressive and co-operative Tribal Race, could have a Leader born to them incorporating the elevated genes of her non-mortal Celestial Race, it would constitute a powerful tie binding these people to the Garden of Eden. He was then mentally influenced to reason with Eve that if this child could be reared and educated in the Garden of Eden, it would exert a great influence over his people and possibly influence the many other tribes.

For more than five years these plans were secretly progressed between them. At last they were developed to the point where Eve consented to have a secret conference with Serapatatia's close Associate, Cano, a most brilliant mind and the active Leader of the near-by colony of the friendly Nodites. Cano was very sympathetic to the Adamic cause and was also the spiritual Leader of this neighboring Nodite Tribe which had been amongst the first to choose to have friendly relations with the Garden of Eden.

The fateful meeting occurred during the twilight hours of an autumn evening, not far from the home of Adam. Eve had never before met the beautiful and enthusiastic Cano – and he was a magnificent specimen of the superior physique and outstanding intellect of his remote descendants of the Planetary Prince's original Staff. And Cano also thoroughly believed in the righteousness of the "Serapatatia Project", since multiple mating was a common practice outside of the Garden of Eden and was not considered in any way to be wrong.

Encouraged by flattery, enthusiasm, and great personal persuasion, Eve then and there consented to embark upon the much-discussed enterprise, to add her own little scheme of "World Saving" to the Divine Plan. Before she quite realized what was transpiring, the fatal step had been taken and the deed was done. The child arising from this union was eventually to be named Cain.

Adam however very soon sensed from Eve that something very seriously wrong had taken place. He asked Eve to come outside with him into their garden. And now for the first time Adam heard from Eve the entire story about her and Serapatatia's long-nourished plan for accelerating world improvement by stimulating the upliftment of the tribal bloodstock and genes of one of the more advanced world tribes.

And as they communed in the moonlit garden, they suddenly heard a discarnate "Voice in the Garden" reproving them for their disobedience. It informed them that they had transgressed the Garden of Eden Covenant and had defaulted in the execution of their Oaths of Trust to the Rulers of the Local Universe. Upon hearing this, Eve's disillusionment was truly pathetic. Adam had quickly taken in the whole predicament they were in and whilst heartbroken and dejected, he nonetheless felt a great sympathy and pity for his erring Mate.

It was in Adam's despair at the realization of Eve's failure that the day after Eve's misstep, he sought out Laotta, a brilliant Nodite woman who was Head of the Western schools of the Garden of Eden, in order to balance out Eve's great shame by committing the same act himself. He wished to deliberately share his beloved Partner's fate. He loved his Mate with a supermortal affection, and the thought of the possibility of a lonely vigil on Urantia without her was more than he could endure. Later, when the results of this union was the birth of a daughter named Sansa, and since Laotta died in the childbirth, Eve without hesitation took Sansa to her bosom and she was reared along with Cain to grow up to be a woman of great ability.

When the worker inhabitants of the Garden of Eden learned of what had happened to Eve, these infuriated inhabitants declared war on the near-by Nodite settlement. They swept out through the gates of Eden and down upon these unprepared Nodite people, utterly destroying them – not a man, woman, or child was spared. Cano, the father of Cain yet unborn, also perished and Serapataia, overcome with remorse at what he had set in motion, drowned himself next day in the Great River.

A time of uncertainty passed when Adam was not entirely certain how the Hierachial was going to react to their offense Seventy days later he was to find out, when the former Melchizedek Custodians of the Planet returned to Urantia with a full jurisdiction over Planetary affairs given to them by the Constellation Fathers.

But still more trouble was brewing: the news of the annihilation of the Nodite settlement near Eden was not slow in reaching the home tribes of Serapatatia to the North, and presently a great host was assembling to march on the Garden of Eden. And this was to be only the beginning of a long and bitter warfare between the Adamite tribal followers and the Nodite Tribes. Adam, having realised that he and Eve had failed in their Adamic Mission, and not wishing to go to war with the tribes, agreed with twelve hundred of his loyal followers to flee by caravan East to the second originally selected site for the Garden of Eden, at the confluence of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in Mesopotamia.

On the third day out on the journey of the Edenic Caravan, it was halted by the arrival of the Seraphic Hosts from Jerusem, who formally informed Adam and Eve of their transgressions and advised them concerning their fate. Gabriel, the Chief Administrative Officer of the local Universe of Nebadon, had pronounced judgment from Nebadon's Headquarters on Salvington to the effect that, although they were not being charged of standing in "contempt of the Universe Government" and had not been guilty of rebellion, they had degraded themselves to the lower status of "Mortals" of the realm. They would no longer have immortality of life previously conferred on them along with their access to the restorative "Tree of Life". From now on they must conduct themselves as a purely mortal man and woman of Urantia, now subject to a limited life-span. They were henceforth to be totally dependent on any successful local development of Earth's tribal Races for their own future well-being.

It required almost a full year for the Edenic Caravan to reach the Euphrates River. When word reached the existing dwellers at the site of the Second Garden of Eden that the King and High Priest of the Garden of Eden was "marching on them", they fled in haste to the Eastern mountains. Adam found all of the desired territory totally vacated when he arrived. In this new location Adam and his helpers were now obliged to adopt relatively crude methods of living, whereas the first Garden of Eden had already been prepared for them, whilst this new one thus had to be created by the labour of their own hands. Adam's caravan had had the foresight to carry the seeds and bulbs of hundreds of plants and cereals of the first Garden to the land between the rivers. They also brought along extensive herds of animals as well as some of the more domesticated ones. Because of this, they at least possessed some advantages over the surrounding tribes and eventually they were able to develop and enjoy many of the benefits of the previous culture of their first Garden of Eden. The site of Second Garden of Eden between the two great rivers was to provided a good natural defense from any marauding tribes. A short way to the North, where the Euphrates and Tigris came close together, a high defense wall was to be built between the rivers extending some fifty-six miles for the protection of the main body of the territory to the South. And so it was that they set themselves to building their own new homes and working from scratch to create a second beautiful Garden of Eden and to eventually establish a new center on Earth of relatively advanced culture and religion.

Up to the time of leaving the first Eden, Adam and his family had always subsisted on eating only fruits, cereals and nuts. On the way to Mesopotamia they had for the first time been forced to partake of herbs and vegetables. Even though the eating of meat was eventually introduced into the Second Garden, Adam and Eve never partook of flesh as part of their regular diet. Neither did any of their first generation children of the original Eden become flesh eaters. They subsisted wholly upon "the fruits and nuts of the trees". However, the next generation of Adam descendants did begin to partake of dairy products, and they at the same time did continue to follow a non-flesh diet. Many of the Southern tribes with whom they later united were also non-flesh eaters. Later on, most of these vegetarian tribes migrated to the East and became mixed in with the peoples of India.

The psychic abilities of Adam and Eve were far superior to those of us present-day peoples. Their extra-sensory senses were acute and they were able to see higher-vibrational Angelic Hosts and other higher dimensional Beings - this ability lasted them for over one hundred years after the fall of the First Eden. These higher senses were not to be so strong in their Second Garden of Eden offspring and tended to gradually diminish with each succeeding generation.

Adam lived for a total of 530 years, 412 of them in the Second Garden of Eden, and died 35,000 years ago of what might be simply termed old age. His physical mechanism eventually wore out, the process of disintegration gradually gaining on the processes of repair, and the inevitable end came. Eve had died nineteen years previously of a weakened heart. They were both buried in the center of the Temple of Divine Service which had been built in accordance with their plans soon after the Northern Great Wall between the rivers of the colony had been completed.

The final end of the First Garden of Eden peninsula in the Mediterranean came almost four thousand years after Adam and Eve had fled. It had been overrun and occupied at different times by the lower-grade tribes of Nodites, Cutites and the Suntites. The end came in connection with violent activity of surrounding volcanoes and also at the time of the submergence of the Sicilian land bridge to Africa. The Eastern floor of the Mediterranean Sea was gradually sinking, eventually carrying down beneath the waters the entire Edenic peninsula over several hundred years. And so came to the end one of the most beautiful creations by Man combined with the beauty of Nature ever witnessed on Urantia/Earth.

The non-mortal Local System of Satania controlled background government of Urantia/Earth, under the direction of Earth's Custodian Melchizedeks, was to continue invisibly behind the scenes up to a period of two thousand years ago. This was then the time of the joint Seventh Bestowal life of the Creator Son Michael and Jesus/Immanuel/Esu in Palestine.

And here we leave the Story of the Creation of the Grand Universe and of Urantia/Earth as handed down to us by the Celestial Hierarchy in "The Urantia Book" [see the Link at the end of Chapter 1 for the full text of The Urantia Book]. Although the Urantia Book does end with a very detailed life of Jesus of Palestine in his joint incarnation with our Creator Son Michael of Nebadon, it does not cover the later extraterrestrial sponsored major civilisations on Earth, such as Lemuria and Atlantis. The Uversa Hierarchy has limited its Earth Creation story to the standard Heiarchial plan for the development of a new planet and its purely indigenous Ascendant Beings. Extraterrestrial inflows of other peoples is another story and would not have been accepted by Earth's population at the time of the Urantia Book's publication in 1934, as knowledge about such matters was then totally unknown. These major concurrent civilisations were largely set up by outside extraterrestrial Races, particularly by the Pleiadians from the nearby Pleiadian Star System and the Sirians from the Sirius Star System, but also involving other rather less savoury sources, such as some dark Orion "Renegades" and the "Reptilian" Races (who are somewhat similar in general appearance to Humans, though some still possessing vestigial tails).

The major civilisations such as Lemuria and Atlantis, also benefited from an extensive parallel inflow of "Descendant Beings" from the Central Universe of Havona and even the Isle of Paradise, and who came to teach, inspire and also for many of them, a new learning experience. This also provided their offspring an opportunity to incarnate on a lower physical world in order to gain much needed Third-Dimensional experience and learning. These great civilisations of Lemuria and Atlantis, were both to rise to a peak of high attainment, only to then decline and finally sink beneath the oceans. The continent of Lemuria was situated West of the American continent, covering much of the present Pacific Ocean, with the Hawaian Islands remaining as a visible remnant. It was the first to sink beneath the waves and some of its people were able to escape to the "Inner Earth" to join the then 4th Dimensional Argarthian civilisation within the interior of Earth [for more on the "The Inner Earth" see the Link at the end of Book 1] The Civilisation of Atlantis which later developed as a sister civilisation to Lemuria was situated in the Atlantic ocean largely between the continents of Africa and South America. Atlantis was also to rise to great heights and then decline in several stages, with an eventual sinking in two stages of its main continental body in the Southern Atlantic. This left a final portion in the Northern Atlantic as the the island continent of Poseidon. The Azores Islands are a present-day remanent of their highest mountainous area. Poseidon was to develop many advanced technologies, including the ability to generate unlimited free electrical power which also powered their airships. Unfortuatel it also eventually declined under an increasingly dark and corrupt Priesthood, and itself to finally sink beneath the Atlantic ocean, precipitating the "Great Flood" of Noah's Ark fame, 12 thousand years ago. [Brief aspects of these great civilisations will be later explored in a separate document].

Planet Earth, through having been placed in "quarantine" by the Orvonton Superuniverse Hierarchy after the Lucifer Rebellion, was thus left open through its isolation to being invaded by many outside influences, some beneficial, some malign. The Reptilian Races who have long tried to make this a base for their activities in this area of the Local Universe, were for a times able to secure areas of Earth alongside the Human population, eventually leading to some conflict between the two Races. They have nonetheless retained a modified element of their Race throughout Asia. This old racial conflict has led within our Milky Way Galaxy to many major Galactic Wars between the mainly Reptilian "Anchara Alliance" and the Human Galactic Federation "Forces of Light".

The intense "Duality" situation of the long-lasting destructive conflict on Earth between the Forces of Light and Darkness has its origins largely from an outside invading source of evil. 1.3 billion years ago this very infectious source of great evil and darkness entered into some of the outer portions of our Superuniverse of Orvonton from the surrounding Great Void of the Cosmos. This originated from another Grand Universe Creation which had deteriorated under a somewhat deranged and cunning Leader into great depths of evil, and seeking to infiltrate and take over another Grand Universe. [more about this in Chapter 10].

Following the sinking of Atlantis, Earth was to be colonised and heavily controlled by yet another extraterrestrial Race, known as the Nibirurans. They also came to be known as The Anunnaki ("Astronauts"), a Race of "Gods" who descended upon Earth from their roving "Battleship Planet" Nibiru, originally built by the Galactic Federation in the Pleiades for Galactic peace keeping purposes. Nibiru was constructed as a hollow sphere four-times the size of Planet Earth. Its 4th Dimensional inhabitants all live on the inside, where they have a fully verdant landscape complete with lakes and rivers similar to Earth's. Nibiru is at present settled on a permanent orbit ranging from going out of our Solar System to as far as the Sirius Star cluster and then returning into our Solar System every 3.6 thousand years. It is currently passing through our Solar System, but fully "cloaked" from our 3rd Dimension vision.

The Nibirurans were briefly involved with Earth long before the creation of Atlantis and returned after the sinking of Atlantis during Earth's "Dark Ages" following the Great Flood. They set up a new civilisation in the Mesopotamia region, which was to become known as the Sumerian Civilisation. They had returned in order to mine our supplies of gold mineral resources in Africa. They badly needed this gold in order to create a protective radiation shield around Nibiru after it had been exposed to many nuclear attacks during its their former peace keeping role. They found the simple indigenous Earth survivors left after the Great Flood a good material to genetically transform into obedient gold mining slaves to work in their gold mines. These simple minded natives, named by them as the "Lulus", had their 12-strand DNA reduced to 2 strands, allowing them only enough intelligence to receive instructions, but with limited mental abilities to disobey. The two-strand DNA introduced into them soon spread throughout Earth's Humanity, and has persisted within all of us right down to the present time. This accounts for the fact that most Earth Humans at present have the use of only 20 percent of their potential mental capability (This will be restored to our original 12-strand DNA on stepping up to the 5th Dimension on the New Earth after the Earth Changes).

The ruling Nibiruan Family on Earth, looked on by the then simple Earth Humans as "Gods", were unfortunately to constantly bicker and fight amongst themselves. It was through this infighting that they eventually were to devastate a large area of Mesopotamia in 2024 B.C. with the use of a plutonium bomb in such a dispute between themselves, creating a desert in a formerly verdant area. Nevertheless, the Nibiruans have managed to retain a behind the scenes control of Earth right up to our recent times, mainly through a "Secret government" and Earth's banking and financial institutions. This invisible Secret Government also known as the "Illuminati", led by the 13 most powerful Banking Families, has been a major influence behind many of our major Governments, including the recent U.S. Government. The Nibiruans's old racial name on Earth was known as the Hibiru, later becoming the Hebrews, a Race that has managed to maintain a strong separate identity. However, the Nibiruan's higher 9th Dimensional Council has recently expressed a strong desire to make amends for any past Nibiruan interference on Earth and to give us as much assistance as they can in our forthcoming Earth Changes. The Sumerian Civilisation thus leads us up historically to a period of two thousand years ago, when Earth witnessed the momentous "Seventh Bestowal Life" of the Creator Son Christ Michael, made in a joint incarnation with Jesus/Immanuel in Palestine. This was indeed a very great honour and significant event for Planet Earth. Usually most Planets within a Local Universe, and only after their inhabitants have reached a certain level of mental ability, are endowed with a second-level "Bestowal" incarnation by an Avonal Paradise Son, that is, a secondary Paradise Son of the Eternal Son of the Holy Trinity. His job is to then administer and lead the inhabitants forward up to their next level of development. Only seven inhabited Planets within three thousand of a Local Universe are ever graced with a Creator Son's "Bestowal" physical incarnation by its ruling Paradise Creator Son of the first Trinity Father level. Earth, which happens to be a one-in-ten "Decimal" experimental ecology development Planet, therefore had the great honour of being chosen by our Local Universe Creator Son Michael for his Seventh and final Bestowal incarnation. This Final Bestowal incarnation entitled him the right to attain a full "Sovereign" status, after having had a long probationary period as acting Regent on behalf of his Paradise Trinity Father.

This joint incarnation between Christ Michael of Nebadon and Immanuel Esu/Jesus, has not always been entirely understood. Esu/Jesus Immanuel (later earning the honorific title-name of "Sananda" as a result of his momentous and difficult Earth experience) was the first Son of Gabriel, the Chief Administrative Officer of Nebadon, Gabriel himself also being the original first joint offspring of Christ Michael and his ruling Co-Partner, Nebadonia. Jesus/Immanel was to play the part of the actual physical incarnated Human on the ground, but he was at the same time continually "overshadowed" by the Spirit presence of Christ Michael. Christ Michael not only spoke through him, but fully experienced all of the ups and downs of this difficult teaching ministry within this particularly backward world. Christ Michael was himself to painfully experience all of the trauma of the final Crucifixion on the cross.

Gabriel as Father of Jesus/Immanuel, was a horrified witness of the Crucifixion, watching in mounting fury from his overhead Mothership, but not allowed to intercede. He had to resolutely endure the dreadful taunting and humiliation given out by the townspeople to his Son on the Cross. It was the enormous overhead spreading mass of his Mothership, through its blotting out the Sun, that caused the "great darkness to spread over the land" and also the following dramatic electrical storm, resulting from its massive magnetic influence upon the atmosphere.

After Jesus's body was finally placed in the Tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, the overshadowing and indwelling Spirit of Christ Michael ascended separately out of the body up into the Spiritual Realms to resume his Rulership and to fulfill his new role as a full "Sovereign of Nebadon". However, it is little known (though detailed in the long lost "Chronicles of Jesus" - more on this below) that the physical Jesus Immanuel indeed did survive the experience and was to live on, mainly in India, for a further hundred years.

After Joseph of Arimathea, a devout follower of Jesus, had sought permission from Pilot to place Jesus in his own private tomb set into a stone cliff, he arranged for a large circular stone to be rolled across the entrance. In the meantime Joseph had received a mental message from Gabriel overhead that Jesus was merely in a "comatose" state. He then quickly returned to the City of Jerusalem and searched out and found some healing friends of Jesus from India. With special herbs and ointments they returned to the Tomb, entering through a secret side entrance and passage, and nursed him for three days and nights until he finally recovered and his strength was fully restored.

Esu/Jesus Immanuel later reappeared several times in the flesh to the astonishment of his Disciples. The final occasion was when they were unsuccessfully fishing in the Sea of Tiberia. He appeared before them and told them to "throw the net out to the right side of the boat, and you will catch a great number". This they did and they were amazed to fill the net with a great multitude of fish. After giving them a final lesson on the "Laws of The Creation", a large silvery spacecraft descended and took him off to Damascus, Syria. Here he spent two years before sending for his faithful Brother Thomas, and also his favourite Disciple Thomas, as well as his close friend Judas Iscarioth (later to be confused with his betrayer, Juda Iharioth, Son of the Pharisee Simeon) who had already chronicled much of the life of Jesus (These Chronicles were to be hidden in Joseph of Arimithea's Tomb and were later removed and remained hidden only to be finally revealed in the Christ Michael (Hatonn) "Phoenix Journal" of 6th August 1989). He also brought to Damascus his beloved Mother, Mary. They then all travelled to Northern India (now West Pakistan) where he preached and taught the people, using the name Esu. however, Mary was soon to pass away, and eventually he and his companions settled in Srinagar, Cashmere/Kashmir. There he himself finally passed away at the age of a hundred and thirty-seven years.

The long-held Earth tradition that Jesus Immanuel (Esu) would return a second time as the World Spiritual Teacher, will occur after the coming Earth Changes. This will not be the return of the Paradise Creator Son, Christ Michael, Aton/Sovereign of Nebadon. Nevertheless, he has been keeping a close watch over us for over the last twenty years in preparedness for the great Earth Changes. In 1989 he commenced channeling messages down to Earth from a nearby overhead position on the large Pleiadian Mothership, the Phoenix, through the medium of the "Phoenix Journals", using the pen-name of "Commander Hatonn". As Christ Michael has more recently said in a Message of 13th September 2009:

"Although I am Sovereign of Nebadon, the future on Planets such as this one, is known far, far in advance, but the process, the day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month, year-to-year process of achieving that is a piece of art - it is artful management, artful execution of Divine and Sacred Plans, so that your Celestial Teachers can bring you along with us, to contribute to the healing of your Planet.  I have signed the Executive Orders for the completion of this phase.  This also declares that I would not be the exacting Executive, moment-by-moment, but have given way for the more direct influence and management and execution of these plans by Machiventa Melchizedek and the Paradise Avonal Son, Monjoronson.  Do not interpret this as a withdrawal on my part; it is simply managerial; it is simply executive in function to have these two individuals begin the process of more direct participation in the events of your world, as they unfold. 

  "I am here, available for you, as always.  I now can devote more time to the other Planets that have been in 'quarantine'.  I can devote more time with you, individually.  Call upon me!  You will find me there with you, beside you.  I am available as your counselor, as your teacher, as your way-shower, just as I have always been.  This development is, and has been, a known factor and a part of the plans for healing this Planet and the other 'Quarantine Planets'.  It was known long ago that there would in some time, in some way, be a Paradise Avonal Son, who would come to this world and to the other quarantined worlds.  The "when" of that was not in the past clearly known, but the Divine developments from Paradise brought Monjoronson here in a timely manner as a pointer.  Now he and Machiventa Melchizedek, as they have been functioning since Monjoronson's arrival from Paradise, will continue to for the time being to directly participate in and manage the execution of the Correcting Time plans on Earth".

The Urantia Book was first given to Earth by Celestial Messengers in 1934 and is over 2000 pages in length. The final part of the Book gives us a detailed Life and Teachings of the final Bestowal Incarnation on our Planet of the Creator Son Michael of Nebadon in his joint incarnation with Esu Immanuel/Sananda as Jesus the Christ in Palestine. It was this final Seventh Bestowal Incarnation on a mortal world of his choosing which gave the Creator Son Michael the right to finally assume the title of "Supreme Ruler of the Universe of Nebadon".
